Senior Urban Designer – Sydney Office

About the role:

  • Working closely with the project team, client and stakeholders
  • Working closely with clients to determine their specific requirements (including brief formulation)
  • Participating in site visits to review context, site conditions, opportunities and constraints
  • Working with design consultants / construction professionals throughout all phases of projects
  • Producing urban design studies, feasibilities, and masterplans
  • Producing design reports, masterplan documents and reports to support approvals such as planning proposals
  • Calculation and scheduling of project yields and compliance
  • Experience in computational analysis valuable

  • Exemplary achievement in professional tertiary qualifications required; multi-disciplinary Tertiary qualifications preferred (evidence to be submitted)

Senior Landscape Architect

fjmt are seeking an enthusiastic, detail – focussed and dedicated senior landscape architect to join our landscape architecture team within the Sydney studio, to work with us on a wide range of challenging projects, some offering opportunities for world class outcomes, all requiring a unique design focus. You need to be a motivated team member who has a degree in Landscape Architecture, eligible for membership of AILA, with good post graduation experience in a range of projects, have a permanent residency visa or be an Australian citizen.

We are looking for a landscape architect with a critical eye for detail and design, strong analytical abilities, coupled with solid graphic, written and verbal communication skills. Experience in landscape construction documentation and preparation of DA reports is essential, as are proficiency in ArchiCAD (or other 3D CAD program) and Adobe Creative Suite. Working knowledge of Apple OS X (operating system) is preferable.

Senior Manager of Interior Architecture

We are seeking an exemplary interior architect to work closely with our Head of Interiors at our nationally recognised Studio based in Sydney.

Duties & Responsibilities

Day-to-day management of junior & intermediate designers on design teams
Manage several projects and design teams simultaneously
Develop and manage project design programmes
Work closely with Client and User Groups
Work with a number of construction professionals
Interpret brief program requirements, develop block plans, adjacency diagrams and detailed designs
Producing design concepts, detailed workings, mood-boards, drawings and specifications as required
Specifying the nature and quality of materials required
Preparing bids, tender applications and presentations
Preparing applications for planning and building control departments
Resolving problems and issues that arise during construction
Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to the job

Required skills and qualifications  include:
Mandatory experience in education, tertiary, workplace
Ability to work across all scales of projects
International design sensibility
Proven management and organisational skills at a senior level
Proven senior design management skills
Proven skills across all phases of project delivery
Excellent Client facing skills
ArchiCad proficient mandatory

Salary
$80,000 – $100,000 (subject to experience and negotiation; excluding super).
